A single word gave me a deeper understanding of myself. It helped me stop treating part of who I am as separate from the rest. It helped me see that my authorship, my coaching, my facilitation, my curiosity about people, and my love of family stories are not disconnected interests. They are expressions of the same underlying trait.

When we understand ourselves better, we make better decisions. We build stronger relationships. We become more effective leaders. We communicate more intentionally. We stop fighting against our natural tendencies and learn how to leverage them.

Perhaps AI is not the enemy some fear it to be. Perhaps it is simply the newest instrument humanity is learning to play. And like the organ before it, the early noise surrounding it may tell us less about the technology itself and more about humanity’s complicated relationship with change.
