Extended DISC
Psychometric Profiling
Understand Yourself and Others
Why do some conversations flow easily while others take more effort? Why do you prefer to make decisions one way, while a colleague approaches the same situation differently?
Extended DISC profiling helps you explore your behavioural preferences and recognise how they influence your communication, relationships and approach to work.
With a personalised report and a guided conversation, you can turn greater self-awareness into practical choices about how you work with others.
What could you discover about yourself?
Recognise your preferred approach
Explore the behaviours that feel most comfortable to you and how they show up in your working life.
Understand your communication preferences
Recognise how you share information, listen and respond—and why others may need a different approach.

How Does Profiling Work?
1. Start with your goals
We discuss what you would like to understand or improve, whether you are exploring profiling for yourself or your team.
2. Complete your online questionnaire
You receive a link to complete the Extended DISC questionnaire. Set aside approximately 10 minutes in a quiet space and follow the instructions provided.
3. Explore your report with a qualified practitioner
In your individual debrief, we connect the findings with your experience, explore your questions and identify practical development actions. Individual debriefs are 60 minutes.
Help Your Team Understand Each Other
Different approaches can bring valuable strengths to a team. They can also create frustration when people assume everyone should communicate, decide or work in the same way.
Extended DISC provides a shared language for exploring those differences. Through individual profiles and a facilitated team conversation, your people can examine how they work together and agree on practical adjustments.
Team profiling can support conversations about:
✓ Communication preferences and information needs.
✓ Different approaches to decisions, change and pace.
✓ Potential sources of misunderstanding.
✓ How colleagues can complement one another.
✓ Clearer expectations and more effective collaboration.

Your Questions about Extended DISC
What is Extended DISC profiling?
Extended DISC is a behavioural assessment that explores your preferred ways of responding, communicating and approaching situations. Your report provides insights to discuss with a qualified practitioner and apply to your personal and professional development.
What do the letters D, I, S and C mean?
They describe four behavioural styles: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Correctness. Everyone has a combination of all four. Your debrief explores the blend reflected in your profile and what it may mean in practice.
Is there a good or bad profile?
No. No style is better than another, and there is no ideal profile to achieve. Different approaches can be useful in different situations. The purpose is to understand your preferences and develop your ability to adapt.
Will my profile put me in a box?
Your profile describes behavioural preferences, rather than everything about you. Your experience, skills, values and circumstances also influence how you work. We use the findings to open a conversation and explore possibilities.
How long does it take?
The online questionnaire takes approximately 10 minutes. At PROFILE Coaching, an individual debrief is 60 minutes, giving you time to explore the report, ask questions and identify useful next steps.
What happens during the debrief?
Your practitioner explains the findings and invites you to connect them with your own experience. Together, you explore relevant strengths, communication preferences and development opportunities, then consider how to apply what you have learned.
Does it measure intelligence, competence or mental health?
No. Extended DISC is a behavioural assessment. It does not assess your intelligence, professional competence or mental health, and it is not a clinical diagnosis.
Can I be profiled without my whole team taking part?
Yes. Individual profiling can be a useful standalone development experience or complement one-to-one coaching.
Can we use it with our team?
Yes. Individual profiles can inform a facilitated discussion about communication, differences and collaboration. We will discuss your objectives and recommend an appropriate combination of individual debriefs and team development.
What if part of the report does not feel like me?
Bring that into the conversation. We explore what resonates, what does not and how your circumstances may influence your interpretation. Your experience is an important part of making sense of the findings.
How much does profiling cost?
